Bed Rest

I am now 22 weeks pregnant and everything was moving along so much better. I had started to feel better since I am very rarely throwing up and starting to get the pregnancy glow. This past weekend I had pain in my stomach, I was throwing up again, and I was waking up with night sweats. I decided it would be best to get it checked out by my doc. It turns out I have an infection on my cervix that just needs antibiotics to fix and bed rest. So here I am in bed.....resting. It is booooring! If I get up I only get up to use the restroom or get something to eat in increments of 10 minutes. If its more than 10 minutes I start to cramp again. I will be on bed rest until my appointment on Monday for my check up. Brad has been wonderful. He has been getting me dinner, running errands, and anything else I need. He calls himself......the Boss or el Hefe. Ha Ha Ha. He tells me when to get back in bed and makes sure I'm okay. He's the best.

2010

Its hard to believe that its already 2010! We celebrated the new year with Jenn and Brian, our friend Wil, Janielle, her husband and kids, and my girl Sam. It was low key and not like any other New Years that I've ever had. I stuggled to keep my eyes open til Midnight, but I did it and got my New Years kiss from my wonderful husband.

My resolution this year is to be an honoring wife, mother, step mother, and be stronger in my faith. 2010 is going to be amazing.

Tiny Tesch.....

........is a baby girl! Her big sister Laney picked out her name when Brad went to visit and tell her the news that she's going to be a big sister. She picked the nameLily and we love it. Its the most perfect name and so special that her big sister picked it out! When we called Laney she said that she knew it was a girl and how happy she is to be getting a baby sister. I was overwhelmed with happiness and tears at the same time. Here are ultrasound pictures of our baby GIRL!!!!!!!!

Christmas Day

Christmas this year was a little different. Brad and I decided to not get Christmas presents for each other. Instead we are focusing paying off some debt and decorating our new home. The only gift we bought for each other was a living room rug. It changed the whole look of our home, made it warmer and more inviting! I really love how it looks. I also bought the baby a gift and gave it to Brad....a tiny pair of Nike's that came with a basketball. If you know Brad, then you know how much he looooves Nike shoes.

Christmas morning we went over to my folks house and celebrated Herman style, homemade Cinnamon rolls while we looked at what was in our stockings. Our stockings this year were filled with a ton of everyday items that we use such as deodorant, shampoo, downy ball, tooth paste. It was awesome to get stuff that I buy every month for our everyday needs so it saved us a ton of money. Some of my favorite gifts that we got from my folks this year was maternity clothes. Not only are they comfy, but they are really cute too. We also received a food saver. I really wanted one so that we can start buying in bulk and freezing the rest of what we buy to save time and money. We also got a really neat fireplace set that is pewter and matches the decor of our home. The set that came with the house was really ugly...we hope to use to old set outside when we are able to landscape our back yard and build a fire pit back there to entertain. Brad got lots of new clothes which is great because he needed some new stuff. We spent the rest of the day playing with our gifts, relaxing in PJ's, and eating snacks. Dinner was amazing. I love my mama's cooking!

Last year Christmas was so different being married and spending it with both families....its hard to believe that next year, it will be even more different. The anticipation is killing me.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve morning, Brad went and played a morning football game with friends that come home to visit family for the holidays. He came home stinky and dirty so I figured that he had a great game. We spent the rest of the day relaxing and getting ready to go over to the Tesch's house to have dinner, open presents, and play with the kids. This year we decided to give small gifts and homemade items and it was wonderful. I made Homemade Applesauce and canned it for the family. I also made coasters and put pictures in them for my sister-in-laws. Anna made an earring and necklace holder that is so clever and lemon curd which was soooo yummy. Jenn made an amazing calendar with all of the anniversaries and birthdays on it with photos taken by them on all their adventures. We also received a few really cute items for the baby. Its so hard to believe that this time next year we'll have a tiny baby to celebrate Christmas with, its so exciting and scary at the same time. I really can't wait. Watching the kids open their gifts was adorable. Seeing the joy that they had when they opened their gifts and played with them. Its so much fun to see how much the kids have grown since last year. We spent the rest of the night relaxing and singing pop songs on the wii karaoke game that the kids got.

Gingerbread Houses

Brad and I went to our friend Josh and Mishal's house to decorate gingerbread houses with a bunch of our friends and some family too. We had snacks, decorated houses together, and played with the kids. The best part of decorating the houses was getting to eat all sorts of candy and helping my niece Audrey decorate her house. It was so adorable watching her design her little home.

Tree Farm

Every year the Tesch family has a tradition to go to the tree farm in Oak Harbor and pick the perfect tree for their home. We had a fake tree again this year, but we still wanted to help them pick out theirs. Everyone was able to come except Anna and Audrey because they were both sick. It was pretty cold outside, but we managed to find the right tree.

Nicole's Shower

At the beginning of December, I went to my friend Nicole's baby shower. She is due February 4th and its a baby boy. It was fun shopping for a gift with my girlfriend Brandy because she is pregnant too. Brandy is due June 20th. Brandy and I bought Nicole and the baby a pack n play crib, a monitor, diapers, wipes, and some other cute baby items. It was a lot of fun seeing friends I haven't seen in a while and hang out with other mommies to be!

Pregnancy Massage

I had my first pregnancy massage at the beginning of December and it was AMAZING! For the first time in months I was able to lay on my stomach because of the position of he pillows. The massage was a gift from my friend Lexi for my bridal shower and I finally got to use the gift certificate. It was my first massage from Lexi and it was to die for. She rubbed from head to toe. I was so relaxed and felt so amazing! I can't wait till my next massage.
