Laney.....you are a leader, you listen to your needs and others needs and you are not afraid to make them known.
YOU MAKE EVERYTHING LOOK EASY
Everything you do, you make it look effortless because you took the time to learn, to watch and to know first.
WATCHING YOU GROW
Bug, I love watching you grow. Measuring how tall you get every summer is something I look forward to every year. I wish we lived closer so I could watch you grow every inch and see every important milestone, but I absolutely love it when you tell me all about it. You light up and I see your beautiful smile. That makes me happy. Laney......you are my happy.
YOU ARE A PERFECT MIX
You have your mom's beautiful hair and big brown eyes. You have your dad's quirky sense of humor and the same smile and obviously his height.
YOU ARE AN AMAZING BIG SISTER
You are so kind. Lily adores you. She is constantly drawing pictures of you. She draws pictures of you two playing together and even puts you in matching outfits. She wants to be tall like you are and "super pretty girl" as Lily would say. You are patient with Jaxon. You giggle at how he is all boy and help him do things. You are so sweet to Brooklyn. You talk to her in this little baby voice and it immediately brings a smile to her face when she sees you on the iPad.
YOU LOVE YOUR DADDY
You love your daddy, oh do you love your daddy. He adores you and you adore him right back. You have a man in your life who has set the bar for the rest. Don't settle for anyone less than extraordinary example your father has set for you.
You didn't just turn 11....you are double one.....you have always been a double one in my book and I am so lucky to be in your life. Happy Birthday Laney Bug. I am so proud of you and the young woman you are becoming. Please slow down. I don't want you to grow up anymore .
