Max Tesch

Laney's 5th Birthday was this past week so Brad traveled to Kansas to spend time with his baby for Valentine's Day and her birthday party. They had a lot of fun together playing at the playground, opening her Valentine's Day present and Birthday presents from us. We got her a few books, silk pjs, a braclet with a cross on it, and a big pink doggie pillow that she named Max Tesch. While Brad was in Kansas they sent me picture messages, videos, and phone calls. She is getting so big since I saw her last. Brad said that she grew 3 inches! She's really really beginning to look just like Brad even more than before. Its really adorable how they make the same faces. I am so happy that he spent time with Laney and they had such a great time together. I can't wait to see her little smile again soon. She lights up a room, just like her father. Happy Birthday Beautiful Princess Laney. I love you so much.

I can't begin to explain how much you have changed my world and how much you light up my life. You are my soul mate and my best friend. I can be myself around you...be as stupid as I want and you laugh and look at me like its the first time you laid eyes on me. You teach me things about myself, about life....you are so smart and such and amazing partner. I have never been as happy as I am when I am in your arms. I feel loved, protected, and really warm since you are a human heater :)

This is our first of many Valentine Days that we will have together. Even though we are apart, you are still everywhere. I think the reason why it hurts so much when we are apart is because our souls are connected. I think about you constantly, whether its my mind or my heart. Brad, I love everything about you, everything about us. You amaze me everyday just by the way you look at me and make me smile. I adore you Tesch.

It is fun to open up an old folder and see what happens to be inside...this is one of the photos that was taken the day Brad proposed to me down at west beach. I ordered my wedding shoes. I love them....and they love me :) They were $40, but I used a coupon code and got theim for $28.....woooooo hoo. I love coupon codes. I use retailmenot.com or tjoos.com everytime I shop somewhere to get money off!

Eye Exam

Yesterday Mom and I traveled to Everett to the Everett Eye Clinic to get our eyes tested to see if we were eligible to get lasik eye surgery. My best friend Brandy drove us since they were going to heavily dialate our eyes. I have what they call hyperopia (farsightedness), my left eye is 20/200 and my right eye is 20/100. They did so many tests on my eyes. They checked the topography of my eye, assessment of mobility, my vision with no correction, my vision with correction, the corneal thickness of my eye...yes he actaully touched my eyeball. I couldn't feel a thing...it was so weird. After all of the testing was complete they informed me about a few things that I did not know about my eyes. I have small tear ducts....which is weird, because when I cry its like a waterpark with mascara. My corneal thickness is thin like my mom's eyes, but enough to make me eligible for surgery. I also found out that I have very dry eyes. The doctor thinks that it is the reason why contact lenses hurt my eyes so much.

Mom's testing was the same as mine but my mom has what you call presbyopia which is the condition where the eye exhibits a progressively diminished ability to focus on near objects with age. They will correct one eye farsighted and one eye nearsighted to balance out her vision.

Our surgery is schedualed two weeks from now. I really excited. I'm going to be able to see...... things in a distance, all of the details of the world that I haven't been able to see.....its so exciting. Best of all.....I'll get to see Brad's face at the end of that aisle on our wedding day. My favorite part of a wedding is to look at the grooms face the second he sees his bride. I can't wait to see his.

To prepare for my surgery I have to make my eyes wet with these expensive eye drops now until the surgery and probably a month after I have surgery. No coffee, tea, or anything with caffenie in it the day of surgery, I have to take Zymar three days prior to the surgery, which will get rid of any bacteria there may be in my eyes....and the worst one.....no makeup a few days before surgery and a week after surgery. So I'll be able to see, but I won't be pretty to look at. Ha Ha Ha. A light snack before surgery, no piercings, no jewelry, did I mention no makeup.....sigh. Anyways....its all worth it. I'm going to be able to see!

Wedding Invitations

This weekend my mom, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and I put together our wedding invitations that I have handmade. We had snacks and good conversation, we had a great time. We finished in two hours! Now we just have to finish registering and we can mail out our invitations by the end of theis week! We made 150 invitations.

The top layer was made out of velum paper that I printed on our computer. I bought the velum paper online through envelopemall.com for $8.95 per 100 sheets. I designed the font online, it was really easy and free! Then I ordered a photo of Brad's back with his last name tattooed on his back from our engagement shoot. Each photo was about $1.00. The back of the invitation was a thick card stock of black paper that mom and I embossed with a compass rose stamp. The last step was a velum envelope with a buisness card size with the details regarding our wedding webpage. Voila! Homemade inviations. I love them. The wedding is getting closer and closer....only 102 more days, not that I'm counting or anything!

I said yes.....

Brad sent me this via text message the other day....he's so romantic. Ha Ha Ha. If you can't tell what it is, its a taco bell sauce packet that says Will you marry me? How could I not say yes.

Miss September

I just received my photos for the 2009 KISW Rockgirl Calendar and I am Miss September. We did a pinup style photo shoot and it was sooooooo much fun. I have really enjoyed being a rockgirl. Going to concerts, meeting some rockstars, dressing up for photo shoots, and most of all spending time with the rockgirls. They have been so much fun and such great friends to me. I won't be trying out again this year, but the past two years as a rockgirl was amazing. I had such a great time. Here are my Calendar Photos :)

Honeymoon

Today I met with a travel agent that specializes in Honeymoons. She talked to me about setting up our very own honeymoon registry, picking a location, picking our honeymoon date. There is so much to plan. We aren't there yet, but it sure is fun planning. We are planning on going to Maui for our honeymoon. We haven't chosen a date yet, but I think that will be the next step. The honeymoon registry is so cool. I went in and registered for items such as airfare, car rental, honeymoon suite, jet skiing for the day, couples massage.....stuff like that. Then if people want to help us pay for our honeymoon as a wedding gift they can in increments of $20.00. So lets say someone wanted to give us $100 as a wedding gift towards airfare, this website will allow that. Its so neat. I'm really excited about it.

Workin on my Fitness

I have only a few more weeks before my dress arrives and I want to be in the best shape I can possibly be in. Being lazy and giving excuses is no longer an option. No weekends off, no bad food, and no....gasp....root beer. I work out on a regular basis, but now its getting closer and I really want to be....well....perfect. When I was little my parents would go to thrift stores and buy Laura and I wedding dresses from the thrift store for $1 and we would dress up all the time, even for Halloween. I have looked forward to my wedding day for as long as I can remember. Now its actually happening with the perfect man.

Monday night I worked out to exercise TV since Brad wasn't feeling very good, I decided to stay home and keep him company. He read a book while I worked out for an hour doing 1/2 an hour of butt and legs, and a 1/2 an hour of abs. Then this morning I woke up at 5:30am and went and swam laps at the pool and did pool exercises that I found online. Tonight I am going to a really intense spin class for an hour where I sweat and sweat. It hurts, but I always feel so good afterwards.

Wednesday I plan on doing a class at the gym for an hour, I think they have some sort of class with cardio and then I'll do another 1/2 an hour of lifting weights and getting my butt, legs and abs really tightened up.

Thursday, swim in the am for an hour, gym after work.

Friday Exercise TV for an hour.

That's my plan.....and I'm sticking to it.
