Today my amazing step daughter Laney is 7 years old. My husband flies to Kansas every couple months to visit her and she comes here to visit us. Right now he's in Kansas celebrating her birthday with Laney's Mom's side of the family. I wish I could be there to celebrate with them, but times are tight so I was unable to make it this trip, but we are saving money up to go see her this summer and possibly have her visit us here in Washington too. I am really excited to see her beautiful smile. (My favorite picture of her taken in 2009)

I can't believe she is already 7 years old.

I love when she tells me she loves me.

I love when she licks the phone and gets my cheek all wet with doggy kisses.

I love when she whispers to tell me secrets.

I love that she is such a good girl.

I love giving her a bath and playing with the bubbles while we talk.

I love kisses and when she holds my hand.

I love that she names all of her stuffed animals with a first, middle, and our last name of coarse :)

I love being her step mommy.

I love everything about her.
