Brad loves Nikki: On Bed Rest for a Whole Month

I was put on bed rest for a whole month since I kept having contractions and was starting to do into labor. Fot the first week I wasn't even allowed to sit. It was awful! Taking care of a 1 year old active baby girl is very difficult to do when you are laying down. People were so kind to us. Bringing us meals, cleaning our home, taking care of Lily and I, spending time chatting with me, bringing me movies. I can't believe the kindness of so many people.

Bed Rest Day 1:

First Smile of a very emotional day. My niece Madison sent me a picture of her smileing and completely made my day. She's so sweet.

Bed Rest Day 2:

Lily and I watching Cartoons. I love my silly girl.

Bed Rest Day 3:
Watching Sisters FaceTime with each other. Laney is reading Lily the Catepillar Book. Lily is so excited that she screams SISSY! and kisses the phone.

Bed Rest Day 4:

My girl Janielle came over and made me breakfast, cleaned the house, and took care of Lily. I am so grateful for her help and friendship.

Bed Rest Day 5:

Still Smiling. Physicially have bruises on my arm from laying on my side. Only 4 weeks to go.....sigh.

Bed Rest Day 6:

Lily has joined mommy on bed rest. She came home from Grandma's house today with a temp of 101. My poor baby.

Bed Rest Day 7:

Snuggling waiting for Grandma to come and pick Lily up. I love that she still wants to snuggle with me.

Bed Rest Day 8:

Are we there yet?

Bed Rest Day 9:

Anxiously waiting for my husband and baby girl to come home. I am so lonely.

Bed Rest Day 10:

Midnight here, 9am in Germany. Talking to my best friend Becky on the phone.

Bed Rest Day 11:

Look who joined me on bed rest! Lily, Ezra, Grace, Audrey, and Laney on the phone. A bed full of Teschs!

Bed Rest Day 12:

I'm 34 weeks today. Only 3 more weeks and I'm off of bed rest!

Bed Rest Day 13:

My friend Sam keeping me company. I love that bed rest is bringing me closer to my friends. I hate not being able to do anyhting, but it sure is nice to have help from your friends when you need them the most.

Bed Rest Day 14:

This is what 2 weeks on bed rest looks like.

Bed Rest Day 15:

My maternity clothes are starting not to fit, thank God I married a big man whose clothes I can wear.

Bed Rest Day 16:

My mommy and I. I seriously would have been lost without her. She did all of our grocery shopping, cleaned the house, spent time watching Lily and taking her out to play. I love her so very much.

Bed rest Day 17:

Getting a little stir crazy. Can't wait to get out of this house for my baby shower tomorrow.

Bed Rest Day 18:

My baby shower was today. My friend Shirley drove 3.5 hours with her newborn baby girl Elise to visit with me. We were KISW Rock Girls together. it was so nice to catch up after all these years.

Bed Rest Day 19:

35 weeks. My mom is taking care of Lily and I at her house while my husband goes out on a man date.

Bed Rest Day 20:

Went into labor and delivery since I was having some really strong contractions. I loved eating the ice chips with syrup on it. Baby and I are doing great so back to bed rest for me.

Bed Rest Day 21:

I'm in so much pain today. Doctor thinks the baby may have bruised or cracked my rib.

Bed Rest Day 22:

Ultrasound Today! Jax is a nice big healthy boy who is kicking my liver. His feet looked soooo big!

Bed Rest Day 23:

My ribs hurt really bad. Ice makes it feel a little better.

Bed Rest Day 24:

It is really hard to take a belly picture laying down. Here I am 35 weeks 5 days.

Bed Rest Day 25:

This baby is doing crazy things in my tummy, it really hurts!

Bed Rest Day 26:

Yes. I wear the same few shirts over and over again. Only a few things fit and not a lot is comfortable.

Bed Rest Day 28: I've moved back in with my mom since Brad works nights and I need help with myself and with Lily. Major back pain. I'm done now.

Bed Rest Day 29: Only a few more days on bed rest and I'm free!!!! Measuring at 42 weeks with only 30 pounds of weight gain. Yikes. I think I'm having a big boy!
