Oak Harbor Car Show

Every year I look forward to going to the car show and seeing all the really neat cars downtown. My Dad use to tell me all about cars....how they looked, the engines they have in them, and the story behind the cars. It explains my love for old cars. This year my new "Dad" had his car entered into the show. Brad and I walked around and took a look at some of the classic cars. I like the look of the old chevys while Brad likes the old Fords. Later on that day, Mom and Dad came down to the show with Petie, our family dog. Dad and Dad Tesch were talking about cars and having a great time. I love having such a big family now and that our dad's can have fun together and "talk cars". It makes me so happy. Dad and I walked around together, where he told me more about the cars we were looking at....I got to see what my Grandpa's car looked like, what my dad's first car looked like.....an awesome skyliner. Super cool car worth about $35,000 now. I love how I know the make model and year of old cars.....you could tell them apart because they were all special, not like cars today. 1936 Chevy Crest......pretty sweet huh?
Suddenly the sky opened up and it started to pour down raining. Brad and I walked to the car show so we walked home in the rain, we were soaked, but it was really cute :) We were so happy to find out that Dad Tesch got his very first Trophy!!!!!! 2nd place in his division.....he was really surprised and very excited. I think the spare bedroom in their house will probably be called "the trophy room" now :) Congrats!!!!!!!!
